Vote-By-Mail Instructions

Due to the current health concerns associated with COVID-19, the voting process looks a bit different. The Massachusetts legislature passed a bill in support of mail in voting in which every eligible voter will automatically be sent an absentee ballot application to their specified address.

Reasons why you would take advantage of the absentee ballot:

  • You are ill or you are confined to your home because you may transmit infection

  • You cannot leave your home because you are a member of a population vulnerable to illness

  • You are staying in your home as a precautionary measure in response to COVID-19

  • You will be out of town on Election Day

  • You have a physical disability

Ballot submission reminders:

  • Applications must be submitted to ensure your vote counts

  • Please allow ample mailing time for this application and for the ballot

  • Ballots must be returned to your local election official by Election Day

  • Applications can be submitted via mail using the pre-paid postage that comes with the application or hand delivered in person to your local town or city clerk
